I have completed nearly all of the courses at Seeking Health Educational Institute thus far. The focus of my post graduate training has been in Environmental Medicine with the courses at SHEI offering the most comprehensive approach based on biochemistry and genetics. Combined with conventional blood tests, organic acids testing, GI profiles and urine toxic metals tests, a systems approach can be individualized for each patient. If we are to treat the "whole" patient, we must use tools that will enable us to know the "whole" patient, the environment he lives in and how he responds to his environment. The physician - patient relationship becomes one of collaboration, of education and of setting attainable goals on the patient's pathway toward health.
